“Ants Admiring Artwork: & Additional Animal Antics” is the culmination of a semester-long independent study project, an exploration of bookmaking through traditional methods. Each large letter and sentence was typeset by hand and printed on a Vandercook Letterpress machine. All of the illustrations, drawn by myself and two other classmates, were screenprinted onto the pages. Bound in an accordion style with adhesive strips, the user unfolds the pages of the book to find a whimsical world of animal alliterations, reimagining the traditional alphabet book.
